The House is the first series produced by White Rabbit Films.
We at White Rabbit are sickened by the wasted potential of web-distributed
video that is currently being squandered by a glut of funny cat videos
and boring blog cams. Much like how HBO forced network and basic cable
to raise their standards, we are determined to make a change by bringing
cutting edge high quality programming to the Internet.
This show is not scripted in the traditional sense. Instead, an outline
detailing all of each episode’s scenes, key lines, and important details
is written by the filmmakers. The actors then collaborate by incorporating
their own character-based ideas and improvising their dialogue.
This process starts with a meeting between the actors and filmmakers wherein
ideas and specific dialogue are discussed regarding each scene. In order to
become familiar with the information and build an effective structure, the
actors run roughly through the now fleshed out scenes. When the filmmakers
feel that the actor’s have gained the right rhythm, the scene is brought to
the set where over the next couple takes they will continue to edit and
refine the performances.
Our post-production team continues the evolution of this collaboration by
taking the best of the different lines and actions and constructing the final
episode.
